Still Waters of Amoudi Bay

Location: Amoudi Bay on Santorini in Greece

Tucked beneath the towering cliffs of Santorini, the vibrant waters of Amoudi Bay shimmer against dramatic red volcanic rock. 

When we first approached the bay from the northern side of the island, the view immediately stopped us in our tracks. The contrast between the dark rock formations and the brilliant water created one of the most striking scenes on the island. In Greek this area is known as Órmos Ammoúdi.

Standing near the dock, watching the boats move slowly through the water, everything felt still. It was one of those quiet travel moments where time seems to slow down, and you realize you’ve found a place you’ll never forget.

This photograph is part of my collection of peaceful coastal moments captured while traveling the world. My hope is that when you display this print in your home, it brings a sense of calm and transports you to the moment it was taken.
