As my husband and I approached Amoudi Bay from the north side of the island, our first view of the bay stopped us in our tracks. The bright red and black rocks against the vibrant blue water were the first things I noticed. Then the mixture of the white, blue, and yellow homes added more flare to the scene I was gazing at. I stood there at the bottom near the boat ramp taking it all in. "This is going to be my favorite view of Santorini," I thought to myself. In Greek this area is known as Órmos Ammoúdi.
