Edge of the Forgotten Coast

Location: Cape San Blas, Florida

Along the quiet shoreline of Cape San Blas, the soft sands and gentle waves stretch endlessly beneath the warm glow of golden hour. Hidden away along Florida’s Forgotten Coast, this peaceful stretch of beach feels untouched. Where the horizon seems to go on forever and the world slows down.

As the sun began to dip toward the Gulf of Mexico, the entire landscape shifted. The sky softened into warm tones, and the light reflected across the water in a way that almost didn’t feel real. Walking along the shore, it felt like stepping into another world; quiet, open, and completely still.

We had originally come to see the remains of a shrimp boat that had run ashore, but as the evening unfolded, we found ourselves staying for the sunset. And in that moment, nothing else mattered.

This photograph is part of my collection of peaceful coastal moments captured while traveling the world. My hope is that when you display this print in your home, it brings a sense of calm and transports you to the moment it was taken.
