Reflections of Pokhara

Location: Phewa Lake, Pokhara, Nepal

Set against the quiet beauty of central Nepal, the still waters of Phewa Lake reflect the distant peaks of the Annapurna Mountain Range. As the sun begins to set, the sky softens into shades of orange and purple, casting a warm glow across the lake’s surface.

During our time in Pokhara, we set out onto the water in a small boat, guided quietly across the lake. Surrounded by mountains and gentle ripples, everything felt calm and unhurried. Later, from the shoreline, we watched the sun disappear behind the peaks as its colors reflected across the water.

Though Nepal is a landlocked country, this moment carried the same peaceful feeling as any coastal horizon; still, grounding, and full of quiet awe. As the mountains reflected across the water, we found ourselves reflecting on the calm of the day.

This photograph is part of my collection of peaceful coastal moments captured while traveling the world. My hope is that when you display this print in your home, it brings a sense of calm and transports you to the moment it was taken.
