Santorini Golden Sunset

Location: Santorini in Greece

As the sun lowers over the Aegean Sea, the sky above Santorini fills with glowing shades of gold, orange, and soft pink. The sea reflects the fading light while the island slowly transitions from the brightness of day into the calm of evening. 

Watching the sunset here is an experience travelers dream about long before arriving. With clear skies and endless horizons, the sun appears larger and brighter as it dips toward the sea. 

Standing there as the sky changed colors, it was easy to understand why Santorini sunsets are known around the world.

No trip to Santorini would be complete without sitting to admire the sun setting over the horizon. Seeing the world-renowned Santorini sunset was definitely a bucket list item for me. In Greece, the skies are so blue and there are no clouds to obstruct the sun. What you end up seeing is the sun as a huge dome. 

This photograph is part of my collection of peaceful coastal moments captured while traveling the world. My hope is that when you display this print in your home, it brings a sense of calm and transports you to the moment it was taken.
