Sarakiniko from Above

Location: Sarakiniko Beach on Milos in Greece

From above, the bright white curves of Sarakiniko Beach reveal a landscape that feels almost unreal. Smooth volcanic rock stretches toward the deep blue water, shaped over time by wind and sea into flowing ridges, soft edges, and hidden inlets.

Seen from this perspective, the contrast becomes even more striking. A single boat drifts quietly along the shoreline, adding a sense of scale and stillness to the scene. Surrounded by a coastline that feels more like another planet than a beach on Milos.

Standing here was one thing, but seeing it from above felt entirely different. The patterns, the movement, and the quiet isolation all came together in a way that was both surreal and calming at the same time.
