Acropolis from Anafiotika (Athens, Greece):

There are quite a few impressive views of the Acropolis from various areas throughout Athens. However, walking through the neighborhood of Anafiotika, gave me one of the most unique views I experienced. Perched on the northeast side of the Acropolis hill lies a little piece of the Greek Islands on the mainland. As my husband and I quietly walked through the alleys, respecting that these were homes to locals, we came across this view nestled between white-washed homes. The Acropolis was sitting above us with the Greek flag flying high.
