Volcán de Fuego

Volcán de Fuego, Antigua Guatemala:

It was supposed to be raining the few days I was scheduled to explore Antigua, Guatemala. Which is why I decided to not book the hiking tour to see the active Volcán de Fuego erupt. Luckily, one of the afternoons I was exploring, the skies cleared up, and the sun was brightly shining with minimal clouds in the sky.

As I was walking along the road, I caught the volcano out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head to see a cloud of smoke rising from the top. I rushed back to my hotel and went up to the rooftop to get an unobstructed view of the active Volcán de Fuego. I sat there and admired nature doing its thing. This is the closest I have ever been to an active volcano. One day I hope to go back to do the hike and get a closer view.
